Step Four: Learn to Use Streamster

Once you have an account at Marketiva then it's time you go to the Marketiva website to download software Streamster as your forex transactions. The software is free and has a small file size so it does not take long to download.

	If you can see all the tabs you can move the divider between window by click and drag it using the mouse pointer.
	Here is a description for each tab:

Forex: This tab displays the data on Foreign Exchange market, the value for each currency pair that valid at this time, with the details as follows:

Indexes: This tab displays the data on the index market, if you want to trade on index market.

Commodities: This tab displays the data on the Commodity market, if you want to trade on Commodity market.

I will not discuss the Funds, Indexes, and Commodities on this site, because I only focus on Forex, if you want to learn other than Forex trading in addition, it can be searched using the Google Search on the top of this page.

In the second window there are two Menu tabs, they are "Charting" tab and "Discussions" tab.

Charting: the graph shows changes in the value of a currency pair, you can change the graphic display with right-clicking your mouse button on the graphic image or click on the menu "Customize," then will appear the following:

New Charting Tab: To create a new graph window Tab

The first Charting tab can be used to show EUR / USD currency pair The second Charting tab can be used to show GBP / USD currency pair

My Chart: To select a graphic display mode that you have saved previously.

▼	This facility allows you to save the changes you make to the default chart to be opened later.
To save your chart, just click the "Save Chart" and fill in the name of your chart as you wish on the "Chart name" field. ▼
	If in the option "My Chart" you choose "Default Chart" then the chart display will back to the standard graph.

Instrument, Timescale, and Zoom: To change the chart view.

Instrument To select currency pair.

Timescale To select time scale on the chart.

Zoom To select the size of the chart display.

Style: To select the desired type of graph style.

	There are four types of graphs that available:
	Bar Chart	The graph in the form of a vertical lines with a small horizontal line on the left and right. The left small line shows the position of the previous value, the right small line shows the position of the thereafter value The length of each vertical line indicates a value range was achieved per line.
	Candlestick	Boxes-shaped graph with lines cut in the middle, so-called as "Candlestick." The white box means the value is increased, while black box means that if the value is decreased. The lines in the middle indicate the range of values that have been achieved per stem.
	Line	This graphic is a simple line shape without any additional ornaments. If the line up indicates the value increased, if the line down indicates the value decreased. This line will move up and down before finally stopping at one point and make the new line in the next time period.
	Line HL	This line graph shape is same as on the type of graph above, but with the additional gray line at the top and bottom of the main line. The top (H) and bottom (L) gray lines shows the range of highest and lowest values that have been achieved before.

Indicators: To select the desired indicator.

The indicator is a tool to see the movement of currency and predicted where the next direction will go. Below is a chart that uses default indicators Moving Average (MA),	While the following chart is a candle stick chart using MA indicator, parabolic SAR, CCI, MACD and Stochastic Fast indicators
The use of indicators is different between a trader with another trader, please try one by one indicator, and learned the nature of the movement and define your own indicators which match your trading style. Find indicator reference on the internet by using search engines such as Google Search which can be found in the top of this page.

Buy/Sell: To select a buy or sell transaction.

How to do buy or sell transaction will be discussed in another section on this site.
 

Discussions: to chat with fellow Marketiva members and also with Marketiva staff who is ready to help you at any time, here you will also find room for discussion specific to your country and discussions with staff with your language, at the "International Support."
To find your country discussion room simply click the "Group" menu and check on the country name (example: "Indonesia") then a window will appear for a special discussion with the language you use.

How to talk: Click on the name of the person you want to get to speak, type you sentence in the box below and press Enter. Then your name will appear with the red letters on your friend computer screen , to attract attention among the many words that appear.
Take advantage of this facility to increase your forex trading knowledge, and do not feel ashamed to participate in chat, many senior trader is ready to help you, sometimes you can get free signal or forex prediction from them.
PLEASE NOTE Forbidden to write the sentence in all capital letters (CapsLock On) will be treated as you are yelling. Forbidden to write the words that are not complacent and offensive people. Forbidden to discuss the products or services other than Marketiva's forex product. Forbidden to do the campaign and advertise the URL of other commercial sites. Forbidden to write words or sentences that do not have the means repeatedly (flooding) thus making access speed of other users will be slow. Sanctions on the violation is removed your right to speak (mute). so that you can no longer perform in the chat room discussions, and must deal with the supporting staff. Latest News: show economy and currency news that happening today, you can use as a guide to make predictions.

Portfolio: shows the condition of your portfolio or your money, here you can see the forex transaction you are doing, how much margin you use, the amount of profit you earn at this time, and the remaining amount of money and the amount of your remaining margin. Here divided into "Live Forex" that use real money and "Virtual Forex" that use fake money.

Alerts: showing signal alerts that you get if you subscribe to the signal provider which is a partner of Marketiva. The cost to subscribe to signal here is usually expensive, so you can get signal for free through the discussion facility as described above.
